This is the F1-89 in 1/24 scale. This assembly plastic model kit does not include paint or glue. The Ferrari team brought out this revolutionary type of 640 machine as a result of the drastic regulation changes made in the F1-89 season. To comply with these new regulations the designer, John Benard, replaced the turbo engine with the more normally aspirated 3.5 liter V12 engine. This car also features a semi-automatic seven speed gearbox. This incorporated paddles on the steering wheel allowing the driver's from there to select gears. Nigel Mansfell did secure a win with this car, but by the end of the season there was only the original debut win.
